Blood Tribe Police Service has charged a man for assaulting two police officers after he allegedly intentionally coughed in their faces.
On April 24 at 11 p.m. a 50-year-old Blood Tribe man was arrested for mischief in the community of Moses Lake on the Blood Reserve. During processing, the man claimed he had COVID-19 and then intentionally coughed in the faces of two police officers.
EMS was called to assist and conducted an assessment on the man, who did not display any symptoms of COVID-19. He was charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer and was later released to appear in Cardston provincial court.
