The senior Stirling Lakers girls Volleyball walked away from the 1A Provincials in Picture Butte with a bronze ranking following the three day tournament.
Picture Butte High School hosted the 1A Girls Senior Girls Volleyball Provincials from Nov. 24-26.
After losing their first game on Thursday to the Plamondon Hawks, the Lakers defeated the Parkland Pacers in their second game of the tournament, in a 25-18, and 25-17 victory over Parkland.
On Friday, the Bawlf’s Wildcats came in hot, beating the Lakers in an exciting show on the court. A few hours later, the Lakers were victorious over the Bassano Broncos .
The tournament wrapped up on Saturday at centre court where the Lakers defeated the Morrin Mustangs, at 10:30a.m. The Lakers lost in their game against Bawlf, but were able to defeat the Plamondon Hawks to win the Bronze.
The gold game against the Bawlf Wildcats and the CACHS Knights resulted in a tournament win for the Wildcats, with CACHS placing second.
