This past week Magrath saw a celebration of Seniors at the new Diamond Willow Lodge.
The beginning of the week had entertainment from Floyd Sillito and then a special guest speaker Joy Dorum, who spoke to the seniors about Advanced Care Planning.
On June 6 the Magrath School Bands performed Music in the Park for the Seniors.
One June 7 the residents enjoyed a luncheon honoring them for the contributions they have made to the community, as well as special recognition for Gloria Alston Site Manager for the tremendous effort she put in to help the staff and residents get moved into the new facility back in April.
That evening the seniors were entertained by Ed and Lena Vogel who sang a large variety of country music songs.
The week concluded with a pancake breakfast at the Seniors Centre on Main Street across from the museum.
The new Diamond Willow Seniors Lodge still has rooms available and members of the Magrath and surrounding communities are welcome to stop by 162 South Centre St. Magrath, for a tour or to call 403-758-6866 for more information.
