The following are selected briefs from the agenda of Raymond town council’s regular meeting on Sept. 5.
Items for Discussion:
Returning to council’s hands was the draft policy for Raymond Irrigation District. As of the publication of this article no minutes have been released to show the motion’s result.
Raymond received an email back from Ric McIver’s (Minister of Public Affairs) team for Alberta’s Fall Municipal meeting. The meeting is scheduled to be fifteen minutes. Currently there is no information as to the content regarding this meeting.
The town drafted up a new Community Grant Policy which seeks to help provide monetary or in-kind assistance to organizations and initiatives that positively affect Raymond. The policy notes that in order to be eligible for these donations the organization must be located in Raymond, or provide a service to Raymond and must have non-profit status.
Chinook Arch:
The Chinook Arch Regional Library System recently had a board meeting on Aug. 3. During the meeting the board reviewed three policies related to Workplace Violence and Harassment, Board Meetings and Bylaws.
