Nominations are currently open for a by-election the Village of Stirling will be holding on May 7, to replace Councillor Bohn.
“Councillor Devynn Bohn tendered her resignation on February 7th at the beginning of our regular Council meeting as her family pursues new opportunities,” said Trevor Lewington, Mayor of Stirling.
Per the Municipal Government Act, Lewington says, the Village is required to hold a by-election to fill the vacancy on Council and nominations will be accepted until 12 p.m. on April 9.
Lewington states that those who are interested in participating in the by-election can obtain a nomination package from the Village office or access it on the Village website, and residents who are interested in learning more about becoming a member of municipal government, Lewington says, can find information on the Village website: https://stirling.ca/government/municipal-elections/information-for-candidates.
