Raymond town council is looking at amending the town’s Waste Management Bylaw.
The amendments, which were presented at council’s June 1 regular meeting, would change the bylaw’s Appendix B, the Waste Management Policy.
Changes to the bylaw include referring to the town’s current Fees and Charges Bylaw in regards to the Fourth Monday Clean-Up and for the white goods tag, changes to salvaging and dropping items off at the Waste Transfer Station. Coun. Stewart Foss requested that under the salvaging sectioning Appendix B, if they could amend section 40d.iii to read “salvaging is permitted by approval of the transfer station attendant,” as in the draft amendment it is banned.
Council passed first reading of the bylaw as amended.
