United Conservative Party (UCP) MLA Joseph Schow is seeking re-election in the Cardston-Siksika riding for a second term.
MLA Schow graduated from Magrath High School before completing a Bachelor of Arts out east at Dalhousie University, and later attending George Washington University for graduate school, where he completed his Masters with a focus on political management. During his political career with the UCP, Schow has formerly served as Deputy Whip. In October 2022, Schow was appointed House Leader, and also serves on the Government Legislative Review Committee.
Residing in Cardston with his wife Nicole, and their three children, Schow is a fifth generation southern Albertan and has worked in the small business ad advertising sectors. Schow won his seat in the 30th Legislature after a successful provincial campaign in 2019.
During a recent delegation before Picture Butte council last month, Schow said of running for re-election in Cardston-Siksika, “I am running for re-election, and should I be successful I look forward to another four years working with you and serving the community.”
Schow said “Rural Alberta does so much, and it punches above its weight all the time.”
“Hopefully, at the will of the people of Cardston-Siksika, I can continue to serve you for another four years.”
