On March 27, Medicine Hat-Cardston-Warner MP Glen Motz and representatives from Cardston Town Council and County of Cardston will be hosting a Town Hall at the Cardston Civic Centre, located at 67 – 3 Avenue W. in Cardston from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
“We want to hear what’s on people’s minds,” said Motz.
Rather than a structured meeting with an itinerary and confirmed topics, Motz says that the event will be wide open for people to talk about whatever they wish to talk about.
“There could be any plethora of things that people are interested in, including getting information or having issues addressed,” said Motz. “We want to know what’s going on for folks in those parts of the riding. It’s good to connect with the folks you represent.”
Motz emphasized that Town Hall events are about ensuring that the people in that area know the different levels of government work together on issues that are important to them.
“I think it’s very important that people know that they’re listened to and we take their issues seriously,” said MP Motz. “Any time the council members from the towns and the villages and the M.D. where we’ve had events so far, they’ve really enjoyed the fact that we’re all working together and the constituents can all connect and we are having great conversations and that’s healthy.”
Motz says that he will also be connecting with people in the riding earlier that day when he visits students at Raymond Junior High School at 1 p.m.
