Town of Raymond make board and committee appointments

On October 15, the Town of Raymond held an Organizational Meeting.

Councillor Bryce Coppieters made a motion that Council hold Council meetings on the first Tuesday of each month following the Municipal Planning Commission meeting and the motion was carried. Councillor Allen Tollestrup made a motion that Council Committee Meetings be held on the third Tuesday of each month following the Municipal Planning Commission meeting and the motion was carried. Councillor Neil Sieben then made a motion that Municipal Planning Commission meetings be held on the first and third Tuesday of each month monthly at 6 p.m. and the motion was carried.

Councillor Matt Evans then made a motion that Council accept Councillor Allen Tollestrup as Deputy Mayor for the remainder of the Council term and the motion was carried.

Deputy Mayor Tollestrup then made a motion that Council approve the appointment of ORRSC and Tyler Nelson to the Assessment Review Board and the motion was carried.

Councillor Sieben made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Councillor Tollestrup, Councillor Evans, Councillor Sieben, Kim Coppieters, and Clark Holt to the Audit and Finance Committee and the motion was carried.

Councillor Sieben made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Kelly Jensen, Becky Rompain, Clare Sala, Cori Smith, Daniel Bullock, Ivy Coppieters, Kati Nelson, Robin Steed, Sandy Nielson, and Tammy Hill to the Beautification Committee and the motion was carried.

Councillor Sieben made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Councillor Kindt, Mayor Depew, Hugh Simpson, the Ag Society, the Chamber of Commerce, the Cultural Arts Society, the Family Softball, the Road Race, the Rotary, and the Stampede Society to the Heritage Days Committee and the motion was carried.

Councillor Sieben made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Mayor Depew, Councillor Coppieters, Councillor Sieben, Councillor Jensen, and Kurtis Pratt to the Inter-Municipal Collaboration Framework Committee and the motion was carried.

Councillor Sieben made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Mayor Depew, Councillor Coppieters, Councillor Sieben, Councillor Jensen, and Kurtis Pratt to the Inter-municipal Development Plan Committee and the motion was carried.

Councillor Sieben made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Councillor Coppieters, Councillor Evans, Councillor Tollestrup, Clark Holt, and Doug Holt to the Joint Fire Services Committee and the motion was carried.

Councillor Sieben made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Councillor Jensen, Sharlene Graves (Chair), Clarissa Foss, Cara Hartley, Ross Jensen, Dave Marling, Kayla Olsen, Atyia Police, Al Litchfield, and Jeanne Heggie to the Library Board and the motion was carried.

Councillor Sieben made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Councillor Sieben, Councillor Evans, Councillor Tollestrup, and Kassidy Stevens to the Bylaw and Policy Committee and the motion was carried.

Councillor Coppieters then made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Mayor Depew to the 4 Mayors Group, which consists of the communities of Cardston, Magrath, Raymond, and Stirling, and the motion was carried.

Councillor Coppieters then made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Councillor Jensen to the Barons-Eureka-Warner FCSS Board with Councillor Kindt as an alternate member and the motion was carried.

Councillor Coppieters then made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Councillor Coppieters to the Chief Mountain Regional Solid Waste Services Commission with Mayor Depew as an alternate member and the motion was carried.

Councillor Coppieters then made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Councillor Jensen to the Chinook Arch Regional Library Board and the motion was carried.

Councillor Coppieters then made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Deputy Mayor Tollestrup to the Community Futures Board with Councillor Coppieters as an alternate member and the motion was carried.

Councillor Coppieters then made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Councillor Coppieters to the Free Pantry Society of Raymond Board with Councillor Kindt as an alternate member and the motion was carried.

Councillor Coppieters then made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Councillor Sieben to the Oldman River Regional Services Commission with Councillor Evans as an alternate member and the motion was carried.

Councillor Coppieters then made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Councillor Evans to the Raymond and District and Chamber of Commerce, and the motion was carried.

Councillor Coppieters then made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Councillor Kindt to the Raymond Agricultural Society Board and the motion was carried.

Councillor Coppieters then made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Councillor Kindt to the Heartland Training & Support Hub (formerly Farm Safety Centre) Board and the motion was carried.

Councillor Coppieters then made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Deputy Mayor Tollestrup to the Raymond Handi-Bus Committee and the motion was carried.

Councillor Coppieters then made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Councillor Kindt to the Raymond Historical Society and the motion was carried.

Councillor Coppieters then made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Councillor Sieben to the Raymond Stampede Society and the motion was carried out.

Councillor Coppieters then made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Councillor Jensen and Deputy Mayor Tollestrup to the Ridge Country Housing Authority Board and the motion was carried.

Councillor Coppieters then made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Councillor Coppieters to the Ridge Regional Public Safety Services Commission and the motion was carried.

Councillor Coppieters then made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Councillor Coppieters, Councillor Evans, and Councillor Sieben to the Ridge Water Quality Committee and the motion was carried.

Councillor Coppieters then made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Councillor Coppieters, Councillor Evans, and Councillor Sieben to the Ridge Water Services Commission and the motion was carried.

Councillor Coppieters then made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Mayor Depew to the Southern Alberta Chief Elected Officials Committee and the motion was carried.

Councillor Coppieters then made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Councillor Evans to the SouthGrow Regional Partnership with Deputy Mayor Tollestrup as an alternate member and the motion was carried.

Councillor Kindt then made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Mayor Depew, Councillor Kindt, Neil Sieben, Kurtis Pratt, Robert Heggie, Andrew Horlings, Mike Smith, Bob Stewart, and Jack Heggie to the Stampede Transition Committee and the motion was carried.

Councillor Kindt then made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Bryce Coppieters, Patrick Roach, Jim Bennett, Joshua Day Chief, Cheri Gilbert, Lily Lynch (Wagner), Regan Steed, Ashley Wevers, and Jody Powelson to the Truth and Reconciliation Committee and the motion was carried.

Councillor Kindt then made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Mayor Depew, Councillor Kindt, Karen Wilde, Anne Tosh, Christie Block, Dana Smith, Nichole Terry, and Matthew Walker to the Stampede Grounds Event Committee and the motion was carried.

Finally, Councillor Sieben made a motion that Council accept the appointment of Deputy Mayor Tollestrup, Councillor Sieben, Councillor Coppieters, Greg Robinson, and Scott Barton to the Sugar City Development Corporation and the motion was carried.
