Raymond’s Old Fashioned Christmas event will take place on Dec. 6 on Raymond’s Main Street from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
“Our Old-Fashioned Christmas is designed to be a community social event,” said Shyanna Reimer, Administrative Assistant with the Raymond Chamber of Commerce.”
“The evening is spent creating memories with family, friends, and local businesses.”
The free family-friendly event, Reimer says, will include kids’ activities and crafts, cotton candy, popcorn, Santa pictures, hot chocolate, donuts, draws, fire pits, and more. Although the event officially starts at 6 p.m. Reimer says the town’s ice arena will be open for free skating from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. and during the event, there will be carolling outside the Raymond Public Library and a Magic Show inside the Library, while some businesses will play music throughout the night.
“The event is designed as a roaming night, so people are welcome to visit each business and/or location in whatever order,” said Reimer.
This event, Reimer says, is planned by the Town of Raymond and the Raymond Chamber of Commerce with the help of community members. Anne Tosh and Diane Henninger specifically, are the masterminds behind the busy evening, Reimer says, and businesses, organizations, and community members are all welcome to get involved.
“Each year, it grows and attracts more attendees, creating a magical night of community,” said Reimer. “We love this event. Building a strong community is very important for our businesses and this event helps us achieve that. The night is a blast and definitely worth marking on your calendar.”
