U11/U13 Knights head into playoffs

The U11 and U13 Knights were back on the ice this past weekend as they played in Central Alberta Hockey League playoffs.
U11
The U11 Knights saw CAHL playoffs begin this past weekend with a first-round matchup against Bow Island/Foremost.
Game 1 was held in Raymond and neither team could find a game-winning goal as it ended 4-4. Dax Hill had a pair of goals for Raymond while Jaxton Rodeback had a goal and an assist, and Lane Smith had one goal. Drew Tame was in net for Raymond and the goalie made 23 saves on 27 shots.
Game 2 saw the teams meet in Foremost and this time, the home team was able to grind out a 5-3 win over Raymond. Smith had a hat trick for the Knights with Banks Sugai, Tame, Hill, and Jack Patrick Salmon had an assist each. Kalani Purcell was between the pipes for Raymond and the goalie made 23 saves on 28 shots.
Bow Island/Foremost advances to the semi-final while Raymond bumps down to the consolation bracket where they take on Vauxhall. Game 1 goes on Saturday in Raymond at 2 p.m. with Game 2 going in Vauxhall on Sunday at noon.
U13
It was a first-round matchup against rival Magrath for the U13 Knights this past weekend.
Game 1 saw the Knights head to Magrath and the Chiefs were all business as they skated to a 12-1 victory. Ryder Harrison had the lone Raymond goal with Lilly Rodeback collecting an assist. Nate Nelson was between the pipes for Raymond and the netminder made 19 saves on 31 shots.
Game 2 saw Raymond return home looking to extend the series, but Magrath had other plans as they were able to sweep the series with an 8-1 win. Hayes Hill had the Knight goal with Nixon Roe assisting. Nelson was the netminder again for Raymond, making 28 saves on 36 shots.
