RE: Focus on far-right extremism (May 16 edition, Dr. Amy Mack)

Says Dr. Amy, folks are struggling, and are angry, they now need a new target, referring to the Coutts border dispute. It seems to me that Dr. Amy is stoking the fire of unrest, and points out that there is a correlation between religion and extremism, of course that’s possible. But I want to point out that the history of the Christian faith is well imbedded in Canada’s preamble to its constitution, “For Canada is founded upon principles that recognize God and the rule of law” and it is on this principle that Canada’s institutions such as education and health care were founded. We also have choice of senior homes, on those principles. I enjoy the freedom to volunteer in these places. Bottom line I certainly have not ran into any far-right extremism, so Dr. Amy please come and join me and check out our awesome town of Taber in southern Alberta.
