Local law enforcement was asking for the public’s assistance with the investigation surrounding an armed robbery in Magrath that occurred on Feb. 24.
As of last week, Raymond/Magrath RCMP had no further updates on whether an arrest has been made, or more information on the ongoing investigation.
“Nothing we can release at this time,” said detachment commander Sgt. Kevin Wright. “You might see something from district down the road, but not at the moment.”
According to a media release, Raymond/Magrath RCMP was asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect involved in the armed robbery. At approximately 2:40 p.m. on Feb. 24, police received a complaint of an armed robbery at a bank in Magrath. The suspect jumped over the counter, confronted employees of the bank and obtained an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the bank on foot.
The suspect is described as male, Caucasian, approximately 6-feet tall and wearing a tan coloured jacket, blue jeans, tan work boots, work gloves with orange and yellow colouring, a black mask and sunglasses.
