Unofficial results of the 2021 municipal and school board elections

Please note that the following are the unofficial results of the 2021 Municipal Election. The official results will be available on Friday, Oct. 22.

Town of Magrath
In Magrath, Byrne Cook was acclaimed as mayor, while the council race was more heated. Ken Baker was the top vote-getter (16.65 per cent, 656), followed by Cynthia Ralph (16.19 per cent, 638), Aaron Zaugg (14.79 per cent, 583), Mark Bennett (13.96 per cent, 550), Darryl Christensen (11.88 per cent, 468), and Gerard Baril (7.61 per cent, 300). Unsuccessful were incumbents DeVar Dahl (7.03 per cent, 277) and Fernando Morales Llan (6.17 per cent, 243), as well as candidate Diane Morton (5.53 per cent, 226).

Town of Raymond
For the Town of Raymond, Mayor Jim Depew was re-elected (754) while challenger Brian Eakett was short by a handful of votes (721). In the council race, Allan Tollestrup (808), Bryce Coppieters (713), Matt Evans (709), Kate Kindt (591), Kelly Jensen (590) and Neil Sieben (556) were elected, while Ken Heggie (538), Nicholas Larsen (477), Kelvin Kado (461), David Reeve (453), Joan Harker (377), Ann Williams (375), Randall Olsen (246), and Trent Tinney (151) would come up short.

Cardston County
Elected to Cardston County council are Broyce Jacobs (Div. 1, 176 votes), Tom Nish (Div. 2, 135), Roger Houghton (Div. 3, 66), Cam Francis (Div. 4, 131), LeGrande Bevans (Div. 5, 118), Wayne Harris (Div. 6, 128) and Randy Bullock (Div. 7, acclaimed).

Warner County
Six of the seven divisions saw elections by acclimation.
The lone race was Division 6 which saw Jack Heggie elected with 133 votes over Robert Grbavac (48) and Regan Dahl (47).
Elected by acclimation were David Cody (Division 1), Rosscoe Ford (Division 2), Philip Jensen (Division 3), Randall Taylor (Divisin 4), Shawn Rodgers (Division 5), and Morgan Rockenbach (Division 7).

Village of Stirling
Trevor Lewington was acclaimed as mayor of Stirling. Also acclaimed to Stirling village council were Kevin Nelson, Rob Edwards, Matthew Foss and Larry Nilsson.

Westwind School Division
Dough Smith has been re-elected as the Ward 1 (Mountain View, Hillspring, Glenwood, Leavitt) Trustee for the Westwind School Division.
Colin Paterson and Tami Tolley have been elected as the two Ward 2 (Cardston and area) trustees.
Jessica Payne was acclaimed as the Ward 3 (Welling/Del Bonita) trustee.
Ross Blackmer was acclaimed as the Ward 4 (Magrath) trustee.
Jim Ralph and Rod Wendorff were re-elected as the two Ward 5 (Raymond and area) trustees.
Josh Smith was acclaimed as the Ward 6 (Stirling) trustee.
Anna-Joyce Frank was acclaimed as the Ward 7 (Blood Reserve) trustee.
