The Lethbridge College Kodiaks Women’s Basketball team is excited to welcome the versatile and multi-talented Brooklyn Hardy to the squad.

Hardy recently graduated from Cardston High School where she played multiple sports but especially enjoyed basketball. She has now enrolled at the college in the practical nursing program.

“I hope to excel in both nursing and basketball,” says Hardy. “Although it will be busy, I am excited for the challenge.”

During her time at Cardston, she showcased her ability to adapt to various roles on the court, from guarding powerful post players to defending quick perimeter opponents. Head coach Ken McMurray has high praise for the newest recruit, who joins the team after a standout high school career.

“I am excited about Brooklyn’s versatility where she likely could play the three, four or five position,” says McMurray. “She comes from a great family and will fit in seamlessly to the Kodiaks women’s basketball program.”

One of the biggest factors in Hardy’s decision to play for the Kodiaks was the great atmosphere the players and coaches showcased. She is a determined student-athlete that is willing to put in the necessary work to achieve her and the team’s goals.

“I know with this team; I will be able to put my strengths to use and learn a lot from all the amazing girls that I am going to be playing with!”

The women’s basketball team will face the Ambrose University Lions in their home opener on Oct. 20 at 6 p.m. in the Val Matteotti Gymnasium.
