Raymond celebrating 125th anniversary

The Town of Raymond will be celebrating its 125th anniversary from June 27 to July 1.

Kate Kindt, Councillor on the Town of Raymond Town Council and member of the Heritage Day Committee, said that the committee has been working hard to make the event memorable for everyone.

Saturday, June 27 will feature the 50th Annual Harlan Taylor 2K, 5K, and 10K run starting at 7:30 a.m., the Raymond Chamber Pancake Breakfast starting at 8 a.m., and the Family Softball Tournament.

Tuesday, June 30 will feature the Stampede Rodeo at 6 p.m., Raymond’s Got Talent at Victoria Sports Park at 7 p.m., and a Family Dance featuring the music group Rebel Angels at 9 p.m.

Raymond’s Got Talent, Councillor Kindt said, is open to anyone 16+, and there will be cash prizes for winners, with first place receiving $1,000, second place receiving $500, and third place receiving $250. The deadline to apply for Raymond’s Got Talent, Councillor Kindt said, is May 15, 2026, and registration can be done at Raymond.activityreg.com.

Wednesday, July 1, will feature the Rotary Parade starting at 10 a.m., the Stampede Rodeo at 3 p.m., a ribbon cutting at 2 p.m. to commemorate newly added displays, the Canada Day Fair at 5 p.m., a Pure Power Wrestling event at 9 p.m., and fireworks at 11 p.m.

“The Town of Raymond is super excited for this year’s 125th anniversary celebrations!” said Councillor Kindt.
