Suspect in custody for vehicle theft, flight from police

The Picture Butte RCMP have arrested a 30-year-old man following an investigation into a stolen pickup truck and flight from police.
An officer attempted to pull over a truck west on Highway 845 near Enchant around 6 p.m. on Jan. 17. The vehicle fled and was later found abandoned just north of Nobleford.
The truck was registered in Calgary, whose owner had reported it as stolen.
The Lethbridge RCMP Forensic Identification Section and City Police identified a suspect in Lethbridge, who was arrested.
He normally resides in Coaldale, but is scheduled for a bail hearing on March 8 in Lethbridge Provincial Court, as that is where he was arrested.
