Mother’s Day Paint n’ Pour hosted in Warner

Warner Bar and Hotel, located at 102 4th Ave in Warner, Alta., is hosting a Mother’s Day Paint n’ Pour on Saturday, May 11 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Maria Thomas, co-manager of the bar with her mom Tammy Joyal, says that paint event is called ‘Created by Kari’ and will feature a Lethbridge Artist offering fun and unique Fluid Painting Classes. 

“Create two to three unique fluid paintings to take home, as well as participate in a messy and fun group painting experience,” said Thomas. “Wine, dinner, and appetizers will be available all night.”

All demographics are welcome, Thomas says, and this is a Mother’s Day event so bringing mothers is encouraged. The bar is quite big, Thomas says, so there is no set limit, but the bar capacity is 130. 

The event, Thomas says, costs $50 per person and that cost covers supplies, the class, and paintings people make. 

“This is the first time doing a paint night, we will see how it goes and if people like it, we will make it a more regular experience,” said Thomas. “This was created for Mother’s Day and to get people together and have some fun. We are excited about it and hope everyone comes!”
