Smith’s green energy freeze detrimental for Alberta

My senior friends and I have a hard time believing what our beloved conservative party has become with what these Reformers, pretending they are conservatives have done to us. The lies that Conservative leader Poilievre is spreading about the carbon tax financially destroying all of us when it was a conservative government who created it to help our oil industry show the world that we do care about global warming and are trying to do something about it in support of our children, and grandchildren’s future. We know that it is putting some money in our pockets with the rebates like the oil industry said it would. Yet Harper refused to implement it and literally told the world Canada doesn’t care about global warming and Obama refused to approve the Keystone XL pipeline putting Albertans in a terrible mess. Now Danielle Smith has found it smart to stop production of more green energy and cut 24,000 jobs and eliminate a $33 billion investment that Albertans desperately need. Those of us who have travelled Europe know how far behind we are compared to the European countries and are concerned about manufacturing companies only producing electric vehicles in the future. Oil executives have said that Ottawa’s targets can be reached by using green energy yet Smith has deliberately made it harder to achieve that goal and if that isn’t bad enough she wasted $80 million on children’s pain killing medicine by once again trying to outsmart Trudeau, buying it from Turkey. It’s been proven dangerous and not safe to use and Alberta taxpayers are on the hook. What was intelligent about that?
