Forever Canada wants more of the same from Ottawa

Independence does not answer these questions. It defines who answers. That is, Albertans including you will determine our path.

A financial analysis, transition plan, and thoughtful constitution are published for scrutiny. Although each is from experts in their field, these are merely possibilities as they have no authority. That authority would have to come from the people of Alberta.

However, the Forever Canada group must describe what their plan is. There is no ambiguity about where Canada’s going as described in Carney’s book. Or is it simply hope, continuing degradation, or persisting as long as you can? Are you simply eager for it?

So is that the dichotomy? The Carney-Laurentian elite vision versus what Alberta is now?

So the Forever Canada faction wants to fold and walk away from the table and swallow whatever Canada wants to allow us. That is no hope or leverage for a better Alberta. I think we must stay at the table, hold our cards close to our chest, see what’s in the pot. We must stay in the game to get the offers. We must force the weak, the bluffing and give them doubt. But to simply fold and timidly walk makes no sense!
