According to a recent media release on the village’s website, the village’s community cemetery clean-up will be held June 1 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers.

“Extra rakes and shovels are needed, so please bring some if you have them,” it was stated.

Earlier this month, the Stirling Fire Department received an $8,000 Community Foundation grant to go toward the purchase of Extrication Struts.

“The struts will be a huge asset to the department,” it was stated.

Struts, according to a recent media release posted on the village’s website, stabilize large vehicles or multiple vehicles in a collision scenario.
