Raymond May 19 meeting highlights

The following are meeting highlights from the May 19 meeting of Raymond town council.

Delegations: There were two delegations to inquire about raw water connections.

COVID-19 Updates Playgrounds, Campground and Tennis Courts: Council approved the reopening of the tennis courts and Perrett Park Campground, in accordance with provincial COVID-19 guidelines and regulations. The Town’s Director of Emergency Management has advised that playgrounds remain closed until further notice.

Approval of Bylaws 1086, 1087 and 1090-20: Council passed 3rd Reading of Bylaws 1086-20 Tax Rate, 1087-20 Subdivision and Development Authority, and 1090-20 Regional Assessment Review Board.

Raymond Environment Strategic Plan: Council approved Raymond’s Environmental Strategic Plan. The Environmental Plan aligns the Town’s activities with environmental initiatives and provides Raymond a competitive edge for grant funding from various sources.
