Don’t miss the second annual Magrath Classic Car Parade.
“I want to make this a tradition,” says Geoff Minors. While Minors, a classic car enthusiast, entrepreneur and self-described gear head knows the town of Magrath “loved” last year’s classic car parade, he’s eager to “expand a little bit.”
This year, Minors is happy to announce the addition of a “show and shine” and anyone interested in attending is welcome.
“We’re excited to be doing the show and shine this year, we’ll be staying within COVID restrictions and we’re outdoors anyway, so everything should be fine,” says Minors.
“There will be food vendors, as well as a vendor from Calgary selling T-shirts and model cars, as well.”
The free event kicks off with this year’s addition of a “show and shine” at 2 p.m. June 19. Interested participants should meet at Harker Avenue West with a parade to follow.
If you’re unfamiliar with the lingo, don’t worry, Minors says. “It’s as it sounds really, you show it and it’s shiny.”
However, “it can be classic cars in any condition,” adds Minors. “All are welcome, motorbikes are welcome, it’s a free event.”
