From October 23 to 26, the Lethbridge Polytechnic Kodiaks will host the 2025 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Men’s and Women’s Soccer Championships at the Raymond Comet Stadium in Raymond, Alberta.
“We are thrilled to bring this championship back to southern Alberta and to partner with the Town of Raymond to provide an exceptional tournament experience for athletes, coaches and fans alike,” said Todd Caughlin, Athletics and Recreation Services director at Lethbridge Polytechnic, in a press release about the event. “With outstanding facilities, strong community support and high-quality competition, this will be an unforgettable event.”
Town of Raymond Chief Administrative Officer Kurtis Pratt says that Raymond seeks to host as many sporting events as possible to showcase the community and to bring visitor dollars to support local businesses.
“The Town is actively working to attract additional events to our community and Council would like to thank the many volunteers and our staff for generous giving of their time to help make these events a possibility,” said Pratt.
Pratt says that the Town of Raymond partnered with Lethbridge Polytechnic to host the ACAC Provincials in 2022, submitted a bid to host again this year, and are very grateful that Raymond been selected again for the honor.
“We will be providing staffing to maintain the grounds and facilities during the event,” said Pratt. “We are extremely thrilled to showcase our community and our facilities to the teams and spectators who will travel down and spend their time in Raymond throughout the course of the event.”
