On May 26, Horizon School Division (HSD) proudly recognized the extraordinary dedication and compassion of Taber’s rural healthcare professionals. Students from across the division came together to express their heartfelt appreciation for local healthcare practitioners by presenting them with artwork and handmade cards.
Four talented high school students contributed artwork: Bobbi Kosowan, Grade 11, W.R. Myers High School (Three art pieces displayed at Taber Hospital, Taber Clinic, and Coulee Medical Clinic); Amelia Koehn, Grade 12, Warner School (Art piece for Milk River Hospital); Faye Chang, Grade 12, Vauxhall High School (Art piece for Vauxhall Clinic); and Avery Jensen, Grade 12, Vauxhall High School (Art piece for Vauxhall Clinic).
Career Practitioner Sharla Kane, Off-Campus Teacher Bryan Pritchard, and Terri-Lynn Duncan, Associate Superintendent of Learner Services—collaborated to create a division-wide campaign of gratitude.
The staff invited high school students to create original pieces of art, while elementary and junior high students designed thank-you posters and cards. The result was a vibrant and heartfelt collection of student work that was shared with healthcare facilities across our region.
On behalf of Horizon School Division, Terri-Lynn Duncan said, “We would like to express our deep gratitude to our rural healthcare professionals. Your unwavering commitment to the health and safety of our students, families, and staff does not go unnoticed. You are vital to the strength and well-being of our communities. We are also especially thankful for your continued support of initiatives like our Rural Pre-Med Club, which inspires the next generation of medical professionals.
