Scott Barton has proudly called the Village of Stirling home for the past 44 years. He understands the values, traditions, and aspirations that make this community special. With over 40 years of experience in municipal executive leadership, Scott is running for office to bring trusted leadership, practical solutions, and a deep commitment to public service to the heart of Stirling’s local government.
Scott currently serves as the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) in Improvement District No. 4 – Waterton, where he has led major infrastructure and community development projects with a focus on transparency, collaboration, and fiscal responsibility. His extensive background in municipal operations gives him a unique ability to navigate complex challenges while delivering results that matter to residents.
Beyond his professional experience, Scott is a proud husband, father, grandfather, neighbour, and active member of the community. Whether volunteering at local events or supporting Stirling’s youth and seniors, he believes in leading by example and building strong relationships across generations.
His priorities for Stirling include:
