Magrath Days 2026 will take place in the Town of Magrath from July 23 – 25.
Byrne Cook, Mayor of the Town of Magrath, said that activities will take place at various locations throughout the Town of Magrath, with most events being held in and around the Town Square sports fields.
Those activities, Mayor Cook continued to say, will include a diverse program.
Mayor Cook added the weekend will kick off on July 23 with 3 on 3 basketball, a 6 p.m. softball tournament, a movie in the park at 8:30 p.m., and a teen dance from 9:30 p.m. to midnight.
On July 24, Mayor Cook stated, events will kick off with a pancake breakfast hosted by Magrath Lions Club and SASH that will run from 8 to 10 a.m., a Pickleball Tournament, an ATB Junior Market from 1 to 4 p.m., a 3 on 3 basketball event, a 6 p.m. softball tournament, and a family event offered by Magrath Ag Society.
The Magrath Ag Society event, Mayor Cook stated, will commence at 3 p.m. on July 24, 2026, with Sheep Riding for ages 7 and under that comes with a $2 entry fee. Those interested, Mayor Cook said, can call 403-634-5565 and pre-register from July 17 to July 23 at midnight. That event, Mayor Cook also said, will be followed by a calf scramble, which will be held for both 7 and under and 8 to 12 years old, to win a bike. Then, Mayor Cook said, Diamond E Classic Barrel Racing will occur at 5 p.m.
Trevor Paczak, Mayor Cook continued, will then take the stage at 9 p.m., and the event will also include beer gardens and food trucks.
July 25, Mayor Cook stated, will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the Jackie Lauscher Memorial 5K Run and Walk on Saturday, July 25 with the event starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Magrath Fishpond Trail, located at 1Ave SE and 2 St SE. Registration, Cook added, will cost $15 per person, and can be paid for at: https://forms.gle/MfhH4UmJpu9Qzmgb8 or on the Town of Magrath Facebook page, with the first 100 registrants will receive socks.
At 10 a.m., Mayor Cook said, the parade will line up and begin at 11 a.m. and will be followed by the Three Sisters Market that will run from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Party in the Park from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.; and the Classic Car show, which will run from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

There will also be a Pickleball Tournament, a softball tournament, Magrath Minor Hockey events, Fast-Pitch fundraising events, a Free Swim from 1 to 4:50 p.m., Pure Power Wrestling beginning at 1:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 6 p.m., Mayor Cook said.
Mayor Cook said that a Ventastic ventriloquist show will also take place at the high school at 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m.; and will feature beloved Disney and America’s Got Talent performer, Michael Harrison, who has performed more than 3,500 performances in over 40 countries. The day, Mayor Cook stated, will also include a Town Council barbecue at 6 p.m. and a fireworks finale at 11 p.m.
Mayor Cook emphasized that preparation for the event has been in the works for several months, and has involved significant collaboration between Town staff, Council members, and community volunteers.
“The Town is always excited about the events and the opportunity they provide to bring residents and visitors together and create positive experiences for all ages,” said Mayor Cook. “We look forward to welcoming residents and visitors to celebrate with us and enjoy everything the events have to offer.”
