The Magrath and District Recreation Committee and the Town of Magrath are excited to announce that a grant application for the replacement of the town’s swimming pool has been approved.

The grant, applied for under the Province of Alberta’s Community Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP), will contribute $472,500 to the project.

With accompanying funding commitments in place from other partners, and the funds which have already been saved and set aside for the pool project, the town believes the project is ready to move forward this year.

Town administration has started to develop its Request for Proposals (RFP) document for a design/build agreement for qualified contractors to review and bid on. The RFP will be released in the coming weeks.

While still very early in the process, town residents can expect more updates as the municipality makes progress on the project.
