Across the region, we’re proud to showcase a growing list of incredible facilities. From the new indoor riding arena in Foremost to the brand-new ball diamond at Bert Knibbs Ball Park, these additions reflect the continued growth, energy, and community spirit that make our region so special.

One of the most exciting aspects of the Southern Alberta Summer Games—and something not everyone realizes—is that these Games are truly for everyone. Participation isn’t limited to youth or to members of specific clubs. This is an opportunity for people of all ages and experience levels to get involved, try something new, and be part of something bigger.

Maybe you’ve been looking for a fun activity to enjoy with your spouse—why not try cornhole together? Or perhaps you’ve always had an interest in photography but never taken the leap. The Games are a great place to explore something you enjoy, capture the energy of the event, and get creative. You might even be curious about trying beach volleyball for the first time—this is the perfect chance to jump in, meet new people, and see if it’s a fit.

That’s what makes these Games so special. We see an incredible mix of participants coming together to stay active, have fun, and support one another. It’s a true celebration of sport, community, and everything our region has to offer—and there’s no better place to host it than right here in the County of Forty Mile. This year we will be bringing communities together by hosting Bow Island, Burdett, 40 Mile Park, and Foremost.

There are so many ways to be part of the Games. You can register as a participant, volunteer your time, come out and cheer on your region, or simply follow along on our social media channels to stay updated and find opportunities to get involved. However you choose to take part, you’ll be helping make this event a success.

We can’t wait to see everyone come together for an unforgettable celebration this summer!

The registration period for the Games opens on May 11 and extends to June 11.
