Veterans are a vital part of the history of Canada. As Valentine’s Day approaches, we encourage you to share your support and encouragement with a veteran in one of the following ways:
Hand-deliver or mail valentines
We encourage you to give valentines to Veterans or Canadian Armed Forces members you know or who live in your community. A personal touch makes this activity more meaningful.
You can also mail your cards to:
Valentines for Vets Veterans Affairs Canada Commemoration, Distribution Unit 125 Maple Hills Avenue Charlottetown, PE C1C 0B6
The cards will be distributed to Veterans across Canada.
Share valentines online
You can send your valentines online to Canadian Veterans in three ways:
• Share a photo of your Valentine’s Day cards on your social media channels. Use the hashtag #ValentinesForVets.
• Send an e-card to a Veteran you know. Sample e-cards are available at:
https://www.veterans.gc.ca/eng/remembrance/commemorative-events/e-cards
• Post photos of your valentines on The Veterans Affairs Canada Facebook page in the comments section the Valentine’s Day post.
Glen Motz, Member of Parliament for Medicine Hat–Cardston-Warner stated, “Let’s take this opportunity to show our Veterans how much we appreciate the sacrifices they made for Canada.”
