The 2nd Cardston Community Day of Goodwill will take place on Friday, September 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, September 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Archery Room on the East Side of the Cardston Civic Center.

Stacey Atwood, an organizer of the event, says that the event is open to everyone and there is no cost for admission, no cost for any clothing item, or no limit on items people can take.

“We did it last year with outstanding results and lots of interest for it to return,” said Atwood.

Atwood says that before the event, people can also donate any clean used clothing, bedding, and shoes at the Archery Room on the East Side of the Cardston Civic Center on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or from September 16 to September 18 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

“We need volunteers to help sort and receive the clothing and organize it!” said Atwood. “We need volunteers to help on the days of and prior.”

For more information about the event or to volunteer, Atwood says, call or text 403 634-6700.

“This is an outstanding event!” said Atwood. “It unites us as a community. It helps those who need to clean out a closet and those who need a few things. All leftover clothing will be donated to the Cardston Handicap Society.”
