For the second year, the Canada Strong pass will allow Albertans to save on visits to museums, historic sites and national parks this summer.

Alberta is participating in the program from now until Sept. 7, during which time general admission to Alberta national parks, including Banff, Jasper and Waterton Lakes, is free.

It also offers guests a 25 per cent discount on camping fees and overnight stays at national parks.

General admission to Alberta museums and historic sites will be free for children and teens aged 17 and under, and half-price for young adults aged 18-24.

There will be no limit on visits, so guests can return as often as they like during the program period.

“Alberta’s museums and historic sites bring history to life. Through the Canada Strong pass, our government is making it easier than ever for families and young people to explore Alberta’s heritage and celebrate exactly what make our province so special,” said Minister of Tourism and Sport Andrew Boitchenko.

The benefits of the Canada Strong pass are automatically applied to all eligible guests during the program period. No physical or digital pass is required.

The 15 historic sites in Alberta participating in the program are as follows:

– Royal Alberta Museum, Edmonton;

– Royal Tyrrell Museum, Drumheller;

– Reynolds Museum, Wetaskiwin;

– Remington Carriage Museum, Cardston;
